XIV World Congress of World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) – Istanbul, Turkey, 14-18 June 2010  
“BORDERING, RE-BORDERING AND NEW POSSIBILITIES IN EDUCATION AND SOCIETY”

İSTANBUL 2010 14-18 JUNE

ERNWACA, NORRAG and RedEtis held in Istanbul (Turkey) a common round table on June 16th, 2010 during the XIV World Congress of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) on the theme: “North-South Networking & International Development Co-operation. Critical Perspectives on Education and Training from NORRAG, ROCARE & RedEtis”.
Following the presentation of the three networks discussions addressed the common objectives, challenges and perspectives in terms of capacity building of researchers, critical analysis and youth professional insertion.

Through this partnership, the three networks seek to gather their synergism, in order to play an effective role at the international level in their domains of expertise and to offer a space of exchange to stakeholders acting on the field of education, research and professional training.

WCCES and Triennial Congresses

WCCES is an international organization of comparative education societies worldwide and is an NGO in Operational Relations with UNESCO.
WCCES was created in 1970 to advance the field of comparative education. Members usually meet every three years for a World Congress in which scholars, researchers and administrators interact with counterparts from around the globe on international issues of education.
WCCES also supports research programs involving scholars in various countries.
Currently, joint research programs focus on: theory and methods in comparative education, education of women and girls, teacher education, education for peace and justice, and other topics.
Through these efforts WCCES contributes to international peace, intercultural cooperation, observance of human rights and mutual respect among peoples.
