Issifu Yidana hols a Ph.D. in Educational Studies (Major: Instructional Technology) from the Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, USA obtained in June 2007 on the topic: Faculty Perceptions of Technology Integration in the Teacher Education Curriculum: A Survey of Two Ghanaian Universities.
Since year 2007, he has been an instructor for EDI 502 Computer Applications in Education (M.Phil Course), ICT 231 Multimedia Authoring and Webpage Design, ICT 362 Data Organization and Databases.
From August 1998 to September 2004 , he was a lecturer of Mathematics and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and taught undergraduate and Diploma students in Mathematics content and technology integration in an educational setting.
October 2000- June 2001, he was Part-Time Lecturer: University of Cape Coast and taught Computer Programming and Numerical Methods to undergraduate Mathematics students.
1988-1992 Mathematics Tutor: Advanced Teacher Training College, Winneba, Ghana where he taught several mathematics content courses to Diploma pre-service teacher trainees.
1986-1987: Research Assistant: Department of Mathematical Sciences, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia where he Supervised pre-College Orientation students in Mathematics and English in a Computer-Assisted Learning laboratory; graded undergraduate assignments and exams, and conducted tutorials for senior undergraduate students.
1984-1986: Teaching Assistant: Department of Mathematics, University of Cape Coast where he taught undergraduate Mathematics Content and Mathematics Education courses in the Mathematics Department and Mathematics Education Departments; graded and conducted senior undergraduate assignment and tutorials.
