Young researchers, doctoral students, education specialists, administrators living in one of the ERNWACA member countries

ERNWACA gives you the unique chance to benefit within 15 months:

• A research grant of 3 000 000 F CFA per selected team ;
• A training in research methodology ;
• A training in scientific research;
• Expertise and supervision of senior researchers with great international reputation;
• A publication in the ERNWACA young researcher journal;
• Travel grants to share the findings;
• Experiences from other young researchers from African Universities and beyond.

Themes for 2010
The proposed topic should reflect one of the the following themes:

• Quality Education in Africa: definition, indicators and practices.
• Education and the job market: curricula issues, teaching and learning issues, infrastructure issues.
• Preschool Education and the intellectual development of the child: effects, impacts and perspectives.
• Household chores on girl’s schooling in Africa: status and impacts.

Criteria

• The age limit is 40 by the date of deposition of documents.
• The documents with names of recipients who have benefited from the Grants program more than 2 times will be rejected.
• This is an academic grant. The funds allocated are for the field work and not for the researcher’s honoraria.
• Special attention will be paid on teams which emphasise gender issues.
• Interdisciplinary studies involving specialists with diverse backgrounds or gathering at least two countries will be given preference.
