25 studies will be financed in the 14 ERNWACA member countries*

ERNWACA gives you the unique chance to benefit within 15 months:

• A research grant of 3 000 000 F CFA per selected team ;
• A training in research methodology ;
• A training in scientific research;
• Expertise and supervision of senior researchers with great international reputation;
• A publication in the ERNWACA young researcher journal;
• Travel grants to share the findings;
• Experience from other young researchers coming from African Universities and besides.

Themes for 2009
The studies must reflect the following themes:

• Millenium Challenge Goals and Education for African Development ;
• Education and socioeconomic integration (Women and Development);
• Curriculum Reforms for/and Improvement in Education Quality;
• Non formal Education:  Islamic “Schools” (i.e. Madrassas and other Koranic School Centres).

Criteria

• This is an academic grant. The funds allocated are for the field work and not for the researcher’s honoraria.
• Applications from women and young researchers are actively encouraged.
• Interdisciplinary studies which involve specialists with diverse backgrounds or that involve at least two countries will be given preference.
